Abstract

In this note, we survey the developments that led to the invention of Mixed‑Spin‑P field theory (MSP theory) which interpolates Gromov–Witten theory of quintic Calabi–Yau threefolds and Landau–Ginzburg theory of the corresponding quintic polynomials.
